Michael Moynihan is the cultural news editor at The Daily Beast and columnist for Tablet magazine. Prior to that, he was the managing editor at Reason and Vice magazines. Moynihan is also a frequent guest panelist on Red Eye.
He made his debut as guest ombudsman on April 27, 2012 and his debut as guest sidekick on June 11, 2012. Following John DeVore's departure, he was by far the one most called upon to fill in for Bill Schulz as sidekick. He also has the distinction of being the final guest sidekick on October 26, 2013 before Schulz left the show.
