Fake Fox News Alert
FoxNewsAlert
Last Appearance November 16, 2012

Fake Fox News Alerts used to open many episodes of Red Eye, along with Tonight on Red Eye and Previously on "Red Eye", up until the Pregame Report debuted in 2009. These alerts would feature a video clip with Andy Levy reporting on a fake, unrelated news story. Generally, these made fun of King Albert II of Belgium, Jeremy Piven or other celebrities. The phony alerts use the same graphic that real Fox News Alerts do.

Fake News Alerts are still used during the show, although they are now extremely rare and no longer feature unrelated videos. Generally, they are now some benign story that will interrupt Greg Gutfeld causing him to switch topics to the story covered in the News Alert, or a humorous and fictionalized spin on a story that's been in the news.
